EMERGENCY STREET REPAIR
STREET CLOSURE
Westland Park Drive


Please be advised Westland Park Drive has been reduced to one (1) 8-foot lane due to an irrigation crossing collapse.  School busses will pick up students at LaNapa Friday morning.  Immediately following, Westland Park Drive will be COMPLETELY CLOSED. Traffic will be restricted Friday, September 14, 2018 through Wednesday, September 19, 2018, with detour provided for local residents.  Crews will work through the weekend to complete the repairs; asphalt patch and sidewalk repairs may take a few additional days.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.  Public patience and cooperation will be appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience.

  • The intersection of 30th Street and N. Dustin Avenue will be RESTRICTED Wednesday, September 19, 2018 to allow for potholing. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm  


  • Deer Trail will be CLOSED Wednesday, September 19, 2018 to allow for hot tap installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm


  • The westbound lane at 2304 W. Apache Street will be RESTRICTED Friday, September 21, 2018 to allow for tap and meter installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm


  •  Fairview Avenue between E. Main Street and 10th Street will be CLOSED to all traffic Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to allow for utility work. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm


  • Hutton Avenue between 20th Street and 23rd Street will be RESTRICTED Monday, September 17, 2018 through Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to allow for utility work. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm


  • The following locations will be closed to all traffic between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 to allow for valve box repairs: Clayton Avenue, E. Main to 18th Street; College Boulevard at Pinon Hills Blvd; and, E Main Street @ 20th Street.


  • Behrend Ave. between Broadway Ave. to W. Main St. will be CLOSED beginning Monday, September 17, 2018 through Monday, October 1, 2018 to allow for new water line installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm


  • Bering St. between Caribbean Ave. and English Rd. will be CLOSED beginning Monday, September 17, 2018 through Friday, September 28, 2018 to allow for utility work. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 


  • Rowe Ave. between E. Main St. (NM516) and E. Hubbard Rd. will be COMPLETELY CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC beginning Friday, September 7 through Thursday, September 20, 2018 to allow for sewer and waterline extensions. Residents access via Hubbard Road. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • Old McCormick School Rd. between Murray Dr. to Acacia St. will be CLOSED beginning Thursday, September 6, 2018 through Wednesday, October 10, 2018 for waterline installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


  • Broadway Ave. between S. Miller Ave. to Auburn Ave. will be RESTRICTED to two lanes starting Wednesday, June 13, 2018 through Friday, September 21, 2018 to allow for waterline installation. CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

POTHOLE PATCHING & CRACK-SEALING PROJECT

The City of Farmington Streets Department will be potholing various locations throughout the City. Locations may be RESTRICTED for a short period of time during this process, detours and barricades will be in place.

COLD MILL PROJECT


The City of Farmington Streets Department will begin the cold milling process on various streets throughout the City. Locations may be RESTRICTED for a short period of time during this process, detours and barricades will be in place.

 Viento Dr. - 9/10/18 - 9/24/18

FOOTHILLS DR. ENHANCEMENT - PHASE I

The project will involve reconstructing Foothills Dr. from Holmes Drive to Rinconada St. The reconstructed road will have two 11' wide travel lanes, two 5' wide bike lanes, one 10' wide detached multi-use path, drainage structures, medians and a roundabout.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Ongoing: Blue stake/utility locate. Storm water pollution control to be installed and maintained throughout the project.

June 10 - July 17: Roadway/excavation, construction and culvert installation will continue through July.

June 22 - June 29: Mailboxes impacted during construction will be relocated, a temporary portable mailbox will be provided by the contractor. Permanent mail boxes will be replaced at the end of the construction, utility relocate-possible disruption in utility services and begin installation of drainage structures.

June 27: Speed limit reduced to 25 mph. Additional runs from water truck in the am and pm during the week, and additional weekend watering.

July 15: Traffic control barricades and temporary traffic control signage will be placed for road closure beginning Monday, July 16, 2018 through Saturday, July 21, 2018 to allow for culvert installation.

July 31 - August 1: Installation of culvert pipe across Foothills Dr. between Juniper Pl. and La Luz Trl.  

August 6 - August 11: Crews will begin the installation of 30"culvert on east side of Foothills Dr. between Los Ninos Pl. and Juniper Pl.

August 13 - August 31: Crews will start pouring concrete structures south of Los Ninos Pl.
Grading and pouring concrete structures for Rinconada St. roundabout.

September 10 - September 14: Crews will continue work on inner curve of Rinconada St. roundabout. Crews will also start building retaining wall for bike path. Continued storm drain installation throughout project. 

September 17 - September 21: Continued storm drain installation near Los Ninos Pl. Regular entrance to Los Ninos Pl. will be closed Wednesday, September 19 through Friday, September 21, 2018. Side access will be provided.

CONSTRUCTION HOURS: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

STREET RESTRICTION NOTICE

Please be advised the entrance to Los Ninos Pl. will be CLOSED beginning Wednesday, September 19, 2018 through Friday, September 21, 2018 to allow for storm drain installation. Side access will be provided to local traffic.

Construction Hours: 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. 

Detours, barricading, and flaggers will be in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.




STREET CLOSURE FOR LARGE TRUCKS
AND/OR TRUCK-TRAILER TRAFFIC


Please be advised large truck and/or truck trailer combos will be PROHIBITED on Foothill Dr. at Rinconada St. beginning Tuesday, September 11, 2018 through Friday, September 21 to allow for round-about interior curb work. Large truck traffic access via Hood Mesa Trail.

Construction Hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm  

Detours, barricading, and flaggers will be in place. ALL motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.


STREET CLOSURE NOTICE

In preparation for paving on Foothills Dr., it will be necessary to COMPLETELY CLOSED Foothills Dr. between Holmes Dr. and Rinconada St. for three (3) days.  Access to the north via Lakewood St., Hood Mesa Trl., and College Blvd.  Detours and barricading will be in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Construction Hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm    

It is anticipated this closure will occur in approximately 30 days, notice will be provided with exact dates as soon as available.



STREET RESTRICTION NOTICE

Construction continues at the intersection of Foothills Dr. and Rinconada St. longer than normal delays are expected. There will be access to the north via Lakewood St., Hood Mesa Trl., and College Blvd. 

Construction Hours: 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. 


Traffic delays may be up to 15 minutes.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Flagging, detours and barricading will be in place.

2P, PHASE I WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The 2P, Phase 1 Waterline Replacement Project is currently in progress.  This major project includes replacement waterlines on  Griffen, Graham, Plum, Bramble, Poplar, Sycamore and S. Dustin.  Anticipated project completion is January 16, 2019.
